When a Premier League footballer steps up to the ball 27 seconds before the whistle, her ‘state’ will make all the difference. Leadership is no different.
Leaders used to have a playbook: in this situation, do X and in that situation, do Y. This is no longer the case. The rate of change – commercial, economic, technological and societal – means today’s leaders need to be ready for anything: change-ready, resilient, adaptable, curious, calm and wise.
For most, this means operating from a higher state than before. It means accessing our intellect and our wisdom. It means knowing that our ‘state’ is within our control and not determined by the situation or people around us. This is ownership on a new level – it means understanding how we operate at peak state and knowing how to make that an everyday thing.
In this interactive session, Elke Edwards, founder of Ivy House, will cover:
- the extraordinary equation
- the game-changing skill of the conscious mind
- the journey from Island A to Island B.
This is a talk for leaders who are committed to operating from peak state. It is session 3 in The Leader Series.
